Ella is visual artist based in Richmond, Virginia. She received a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth School of the Arts in 2019.
She uses color and a variety of mediums, including acrylic and spray paint, to express the liveliness and raw emotion of the world. She creates bold, expressive, and multi-dimensional art forms that fuse urban culture with fine artistry. Her art’s tactile nature is a key focus, with texture achieved through layering paint, stencils, magazine rips, drawings and stickers.
Elements of street art, graffiti art and pop art are foundational to her practice. She incorporates bold lines, odd shapes and active strokes of paint as part of her visual language. Stencil art and lettering offer crisp, repeatable designs, while graffiti tags can be more free-form, and gestural; all reflective of an urban environment.
With custom apparel, she takes her art directly to fashion, creating wearable statements that function as mobile billboards.
